Founding Chairman Message：

Hong Kong Creative Learning Association was established since 16th January, 2016, my birthday. This is the best birthday gift for myself.

My objective is to promote reading and happy learning to our young generation.

Reading allows children to gain knowledge and also can enhance their language skills and inspire their innovation.

I setup Hong Kong Creative Learning Association (HKCLA) as a section 88 charity organization.

We aim to organise different activities and competitions for children in order to:

promoting the reading culture;
inspiring creativity;
encouraging self-learning; and
promoting positive learning and teaching.

With this objective, I would like to share to all people with same vision.

Single person cannot make it happen, we need other people to join and support us.

Let’s promote reading and happy learning together.

Chairman Message：

Reading is good for everyone, especially for children. It definitely brings joy and cultivates children’s learning and creativity. Not only does reading help children acquire more knowledge, it plays a big part in their mental development as well. Reading is also a wonderful activity for a family to bond, particularly during this current pandemic.

As a father of a set of twins, I see that reading can enhance their language skills. They often ask many interesting questions when they finish reading some new books; sometimes even my knowledge is broadened because of their inquisitiveness. Most importantly, I feel that the interaction and communication among us has grown and I really treasure our reading time together.

As the Chairman of HKCLA, I would like to thank the continuous effort and zealous support from various participating kindergartens, primary schools, and also donors and sponsoring parties.

Last but not least, I also need to give my heartfelt thanks to all the support from our children and their parents. Without their help and support, our Association would not have been able to run many meaningful events to enhance our children’s reading interest. Children are our future; thus, we sincerely hope that all of you can continue to support HKCLA!

Open Source STEM Education Platform：

Our Founding Chairman Ir. Dr. Alan Lam has launched an open source online platform for STEM education since Sept, 2016.

We hope all the teachers and students can adopt this material in their teaching and learning.

We organized a STEM forum on 10th Nov, 2016 and announced a pilot scheme with free of charge kits to 30 schools in HK.

We received a lot of teacher’s teaching plan, workshop, sharing of ppt from many passionate teachers after the pilot scheme.

We are happy to start sharing those materials with acknowledgement to the schools and teachers for their contribution from Feb, 2017 to March, 2017.

Pls feel free to read the books and share with me your comments and advises.
